Flan
It happened again! It’s 1:42 a.m. and here I am telling my man “se me antoja flan” I go on Pinterest and find a recipe by Lovefoodies. So here it goes. I did my best to follow the recipe as it was, but not having an electric mixer was frustrating and my arm started to hurt!
Caramel Ingredients:
- ½ cup sugar
- 5 tbsp. boiling water
Heat the sugar until brown.
Add the water and mix.
Milk Ingredients:
- 400 ml milk
- 1 ½ tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Heat the milk and sugar.
Egg Ingredients:
- 2 whole eggs
- 4 egg yolks
- 2 ½ tbsp. sugar
Mix all the egg ingredients.
Slowly add the milk ingredients.
Oven shall be set to 275 degrees for 45 minutes.
Add the caramel to the pan first (butter the pan)
Then add the milk/egg ingredients.
Refrigerate for 3-4 hours.
